Explanation:

Construction:

1. Verb stem + 아/어/여 보이다

보이다 VS 것 같다:

1. 은/ㄴ 것 같다>  sb. thinks

*personal feelings

2. 아/어/여 보이다> sth. looks good

*the fact that sb./sth. "looks"/"seems"

Ex)

이 영화는 재미없어 보여요. 

This movie looks boring.

이 영화는 재미없는 것 같아요. 

I think this movie is boring.

3. Noun + 같다> sb. thinks

학생처럼 보여요. He looks like a student.

학생 같아요. I think he is a student.

*Space before 같다.

Sample Mini Dialogue:

가: 오늘 엄청 피곤해 보여. 어제 못 잤어?

나: 그래? 사실 어제 밤새서 그래.

가: 무슨 일이 있어? 너무 걱정돼 보여.

나: 음, 환자분 일이야. 급해서 그래.

가: 나 그때 보니까 상황이 많이 심각한 것 같아. 이제 괜찮아?

가: You look really tired today. Didn't you sleep last night?
