What should I put on the slide?
What does my audience need to know?
Here's what matters.
Story:
Situation → Problem → Analysis → Recommendation → Next Step
We started this project six months ago and have completed several design reviews.
We're on track for the September launch, but supplier capacity remains our biggest risk.
Where are we?
What's the problem?
Why does it matter?
What are the options?
What do you recommend?
What decision is needed?
You organized the thinking before organizing the slides.
What's the key takeaway?
What's the business impact?
What do you need from me?
The key takeaway is that we can still meet the launch date, but we need a supplier decision this week.
Make the decision easier.
Yield improved from 92% to 97%.
The improvement reduced scrap and rework costs and lowered the risk of production disruption.
所以:
Data is evidence. Insight is the meaning.
So what?
Q&A。
Why?
What's the risk?
What would you recommend?
If I were my manager, what would I ask?
Why。
So What。
Risk。
Cost。
Timeline。
Alternative。
Decision Required。
I don't have the exact number with me right now, but I'll validate it and follow up after the meeting.
What did we achieve?
What changed for the business?
What should we do next?
Impact、Influence和Leadership。
Storytelling。
Structured Thinking。
Business Acumen。
Executive Communication。
Q&A和Judgment。
Influence。
“Wow, this is a beautiful deck.”
“Now I understand the problem, I see the value, and I know what we should do next.”
What is the one thing I want them to remember?
Why does it matter?
What decision do I need?
What do I recommend?
Think clearly.
Communicate simply.
Influence effectively.
